Musicians

If you played at Strictly Tabu at any time, please post a comment. If you remember artists who performed, would you also please post a comment. Especially if you played during my years there (1976-1984).

Coleen Pandis and her group used to draw quite a crowd. Ed Hagen told me about his having moved away to the islands in something like 1953. He said, "two wives and three restaurants later" he returned to Dallas.

What a surprise to find this blog! We had great times playing there from 1982 to 1984 along with the late and great Jim Salazar, Jay New and of course Pete Rainone. Strictly Tabu was the best venue in Dallas for jazz/fusion live music and I hold very fond memories of performing here.

I was cleaning out an old box and found a cassette that had been dubbed down from a live performance there. Although it was 36 years old, it was a quality metal tape and I was able to capture it into a couple of WAV files that still sound decent considering it was on cassette.

What a great place to have dinner, a drink, and listen to mostly local groups.
